2023 Bag Tags

2023 season

The 2023 season will start April 2, 2023 and go until fall. Final end date TBD.

How it works

When you sign up, you will receive a tag with a number. Once you have your tag, you are eligible for bag tag matches. Bag Tags cost $5.

In a bag tag match, a round of disc golf is played with any number of other people with tags. When the round is complete, the winner gets the lowest tag. If more than 2 people participate, the the tags are distributed among the players with the lowest score receiving the lowest tag number among competitors, second lowest score receiving the second lowest tag number, and so on. There are no specific rules for the round as long as all the competitors of the bag tag match agree upon them before the match starts.

SPSDGA Bag Tag Points

SPSDGA bag tags additionally keeps a tally of points throughout the bag tag season. In a bag tag round, you always receive 1 point for competing and additionally receive 1 point for each person you beat.

In any bag tag event, the points will be tallied for everyone within the tournament and is not limited to just the single card for that tournament. You will receive 1 point for each person you score better than. Tie breakers are determined by the lower tag. Each participant will also receive an additional 5 points for participating.

The total points will be used for the final bag tag event where the top points earners will get to compete in the finals.

Bag tag match submissions

In order to get points, you'll need to submit your bag tag round results to this website. You can go to the bag tag page, click the button to submit a match, and add any number of players that competed in the match. Players should be ordered by results of the match. Scores are optional. However, all players must have a score if you choose to enter scores. Once submitted, the site will add the points automatically.

Tournaments

If you play in a tournament and you know there are other players with tags also playing in the tournament, each round of the tournament can be eligible for bag tag points. Once results are posted, please submit a tournament report and I will add points in the system.

Points will be tallied similarly to bag tag events, except will not include the bonus 5 points for participation. You will receive 1 point for each person you score better than. Tie breakers are determined by lower tag.
