Agenda
Old business
Replacement locks at WCP
Still no luck with matching sets at Lowes/Home Depot. Randall has a connection to Home Depot. Mark is still following up with the Masterlock donation program.
Trailer Repair
No movement yet on that.
Insurance for work parties and events
Insurance has been finalized and covered through next May. $1387 was the cost.
DR Trimmer repair
Randall will meet up with Jules or Ken to get it fixed at some point in the near future.
New business
Lost and Found
We have a new lost and found policy. Dave Cowell runs the L&F at the rock shop in Lacey. He’s had good success with returned discs and requires verification to take the disc.
David Hyde said he might have someone to fix the flap at the Evergreen L&F.
Cuoio Park will feed into the rock shop as well.
Josh will update lost and found policy on the website.
Cuoio Work Parties
32 volunteer hours for the first work party. They made good progress using the brush hog. 16 volunteer hours last Sunday. Ron Foster went out on a zero turn mower to cut a lot of the long grass in the first 3 holes. Mitch Lewis, Greg Conent(?) Spent 3 hours on hole 7 (Greg left feedback). 1 person under the age of 50 participated.
Mark is busy until November so he will not be able to coordinate work parties. Someone else will need to coordinate. The main work that is needed is opening up landing zones by removing ferns and other brush. If anyone wants to help coordinate a work party, contact the SPSDGA board
Hole 4 has holes that need to be filled. The city filled those holes. A trailer was discovered and the city should be able to remove it.
A mando will be placed on hole 2 to prevent throwing over walking paths.
Cuoio Grand Opening
Ribbon cutting, ice cream, band, shuttles from Cabela’s will be Thursday Sept 24 at 5:30 to 7pm. SPSDGA will set up a tent with minis and discs with a basket. We will have a basket to practice putting with. Participants in putting will receive a free disc. A motion has been made to purchase discs with the grand opening art for Cuoio for 50 Dyemax discs. $650. Motion passes.
First Cuoio Event
The front 9 is mostly playable. Hole 3 and 5 need blackberries pushed back. Mark would like to run a BYOP doubles event in the fall for 2 rounds through 9.
We will need more parking. The other gate could possibly be used as overflow.
Upcoming elections / Team Golf
Elections will happen in the November meeting. Nominations will open up in October. They can be made up to 2 weeks before the November meetings. Nominations will be taken for board positions and team golf positions.
