Agenda

Old business

WA DG Hall of Fame
First class is in the fall. John is raising money with disc sales. Mostly an online presence, history and profiles. Everyone inducted will get a plaque or memento, with a travelling trophy. Initial class will be 6 people. Paul Wright has been leading the charge for about 6 years.

New business

Volunteer QR codes

Once we start working at Cuoio, we need to keep track of hours. John has made a business card that has QR codes for the volunteer waiver and a form to log volunteer hours so that a person can go out and work without having to notify the club.

Lacey MPD Prop 1
Lacey wants to make a Metropolitan Parks Dept, which allows them to have their own budget. This will guarantee the parks to have money. Please vote yes for this if you are eligible. They are requesting us to help promote and donate for the cause.

John makes a motion to donate $150. Mark seconds and it unanimously passes.

Trimming Party at WCP
This is the month where we trim at Woodland Creek. We need volunteers to help cut down some growth. June 14 is the proposed time. Bring weed whackers if you have them.

Sponsorship Opportunities
We don’t have the ability to make money from having hole sponsors for courses since we don’t have total control of our courses. Squaxin Island Enterprises Inc. is interested in sponsoring money to help with outreach to our communities. Besides sponsorship for events, are there other opportunities for them to put their logo on? Possibilities of volunteer shirts, club trailer, WCP kiosk, etc.

Evergreen kiosk
Rob is proposing using his team golf money to build the Evergreen kiosk. Ideas were to put it near the road, near the exit for hole 18, and by the corner where the shipping container used to be.

Sunday dubs time change
A discussion was started about moving the dubs time to 10am to possibly help with bringing more people. A poll was put on the disc golf Facebook group to gauge interest. There’s a possibility that people are unaware that there’s no parking fee on weekends. A succinct flyer is proposed to help re-market dubs at Evergreen.

2025 Events

Finished

Top Dog Challenge - Went well and paid a lot of money.

Upcoming

Top Dog Finals - Sept 20-21, possibly lowering entry fee in order to draw more people in.

Windfall Masters Cup - June 28-29, part of Disc Golf Masters Tour. Will be shotgun start, 2 rounds at Evergreen. 50 people signed up. Looking for someone to hang out at TC so that the TDs can play.

South Sound Classic - July 18-20. All 3 courses are booked. Friday at Delphi, Saturday at Shelton, and Sunday at Evergreen. Hoping to renegotiate the fees for Delphi.

Senior Games - June 28. Rick Gill is running it at Woodland. It’ll be on one side of the creek.

Woodland Creek Classic - Sept 27-28 (TBD). Justin told us the bridge is being replaced this year and could impact the dates.
